A short rundown of the ropes available are Swift, Falcon, Eagle, Kestrel and Merlin.

Swift – An 8.9mm rope that complies with 3 rope standards. Aimed at sports climbers this rope offers minimal weight and diameter but can work just as well on ice and rock climbing routes.

Falcon – 9.4mm rope which is light weight and robust, great for mixed routes and ice climbing.

Eagle – 9.8mm rope marketed as a universal rope of alpine, indoor and crags.

Kestrel – 8.5mm low impact rope with lightweight construction this rope is suited to alpine climbing.

Merlin – 8.0mm minimum weight rope at 44g per metre with equally minimal diameter.

All the Edelrid ropes are treated with Edelrids Thermo Shield treatment providing increased handling. Additionally Swift, Falcon, Eagle and Merlin have the Pro Shield treatment and the Kestrel having Dry Shield Finishing.
